Liberty Church Of The Nazarene In Barbados is a Christian church located in the country of Barbados. It was founded in 1948 by the Rev. Clair Joseph Maxwell and his wife, who made the initial commitment of their life savings with the aim of starting a church of the Nazarene denomination. Liberty Church Of The Nazarene In Barbados began with 19 original members, two of whom were ordained pastors. As the church grew and multiplied, it became the flagship church representing the Nazarene denomination on the island of Barbados. The congregation has embraced the mission of worldwide evangelism and has sent a number of missionaries, as well as provided assistance to many local ministries across the island. Today, Liberty Church Of The Nazarene In Barbados is home to a vibrant and active congregation of over 200 members, with weekly Sunday services that include worship, Bible study and prayer. The church offers a number of additional services, including a ministry to children and youth, and outreach programs to the local community. The church is also home to a variety of mission projects, such as a quarterly food drive that provides food for those in need.
