Feni Jami Mosque is located in the town of Feni, Bangladesh and is the oldest mosque in the country. The mosque was built in 1537 by Syed Ali bin Abu Bakar and is dedicated to the Sheikh Tajuddin, the spiritual leader of the Bengal region. The mosque has two minaret towers with a central dome. It is adorned with an inscription of Islamic religious symbols such as palm impressions and verses from the Quran. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in Feni. The Feni Jame Mosque is a historic mosque located in the city of Feni in Bangladesh. It was built in the 18th century and is one of the oldest mosque in Bangladesh. The architecture of this mosque consists of three parts which includes the structure of the building, its interiors, and finally its decoration and ornamentation. The structure of the building is made of stone and brickwork and comprises a large central prayer hall, two minarets, a two-storey terrace for sermons, an elevated dais for preaching, and four domes with several other subsidiary domes. The two minarets are of octagonal shape and bear ornately decorated domes. The interior of the building is divided into several sections by a series of arches supported on monolithic pillars. It is richly decorated with Islamic motifs such as verses from the Qur'an, calligraphy, floral designs and vegetal motifs. The ornamentation of the building is based on excerpts from the Qur'an, reflecting the mixture of Hindu and Islamic influences in the region. Arabesque, vegetal, and floral motifs also decorate the walls, while the minarets, domes, and other structures of the building are adorned with complex geometric patterns. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
