Faridpur Jame Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Bangladesh. It was built in 1593 by Sultan Hussain Shah, the then ruler of Bengal. The mosque is located in Faridpur district of Dhaka. It features a simple architecture with four domes. The four domes are decorated with inscriptions from the Holy Quran. It has an extensive terrace surrounded by four Kutis and pillars. The mosque is used for both worship and teaching purposes. On Fridays, thousands of devoted worshippers offer their prayers at the mosque. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bangladesh which you must visit.

The Faridpur Jame Mosque is an iconic architectural structure located in Faridpur City, Bangladesh. The mosque is believed to have been built during the reign of Sultan Ala-ud-din (1483-1515) and is one of the oldest surviving mosque structures in Bangladesh. The mosque is notable for its unique and spectacular architectural style featuring stone masonry with elaborate and ornate terracotta decorations. The terracotta work features intricate floral and geometric patterns in various shades of red, yellow, cream and black. The mosque also features a large central dome decorated with white marble in the middle of which stands a tall minaret. There are 3 entrances to the mosque, and a large courtyard surrounded by an arcade of pillars. The mosque was recently renovated in the early 2000s which helped to restore some of its original beauty. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
