Worship Method:
The method of worship at the Dhanmondi Kali Mandir is similar to other Hindu temples in Bangladesh. Devotees offer flowers, leaves, coconut, incense, and flavoured water or milk to Mother Kali. The traditional puja is performed three times a day: morning, afternoon and evening. During the puja, a lamp, fruits, sweets, garlands, incense, and vermilion are offered. Devotees then circumambulate the deity in the garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum).At the end of the puja, ‘prasad’ (sacred food offerings) is distributed to the devotees as blessings from the goddess.
