Holy Apostoles Church is believed to have been built between 1215 and 1221 AD during the rule of Catholicos Hovhannes III Odznetsi. The primary builder was the famous architect Vahram Kayseravi. The church was restored by renowned architect Toros Toramanian between 1895 and 1896. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Armenia.
