Cathedral Basilica Our Lady of Rosario is a Roman Catholic basilica located in Elmo, Genoa, Italy. It is the seat of the Archdiocese of Genoa and is dedicated to the Patroness of the City, Our Lady of the Rosary. The basilica was built between 1623 and 1650 and is considered a masterpiece of Italian Baroque architecture. It is one of the best churches in Argentina which you must visit.

History:

The original cathedral of Elmo was founded in the 10th century and was later rebuilt in the 16th century. The present basilica was designed by the architect Aurelio Gabbrielli and it was consecrated in 1687. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Argentina.

The basilica is composed of three façades, the west facing the sea, the south facing the city center of Elmo and the north façade facing the mountains.
