The house was originally owned by the Busquets family, who were indentured servants to the Busquets, an elite noble Catalan family of the time. The Busquets were renowned for their hospitality and the house was used as a place of rest and relaxation for important visitors to the Principality. In 1580, the house was bought by the local government and became the official residence of the Andorran parliamentary body. Over the centuries, the house though renovated, has retained its original Gothic style.
