The history of Caldea Inúu Spa in Escaldes-Engordany in Andorra can be traced back to the early 2000s when the concept of a large leisure center and spa was first proposed by the Government of Andorra. The Government’s motivation for this project was to create a destination for visitors where they could enjoy the natural beauty of Andorra as well as benefit from health and well-being treatments. Construction of the Caldea Inúu Spa began in 2001 and, after two years of work, it was completed in 2003. The construction alone cost €50,000,000. The spa consists of six floors, with the top floor dedicated to the spa treatments. There is also an outdoor thermal spa area and an indoor complex including a swimming pool, sauna, and other amenities. Since its opening, the Caldea Inúu Spa has been one of the most popular leisure destinations in Andorra and has hosted more than 10 million visitors.
