The worship method followed in the Vontimitta Kodanda Rama Temple is a traditional Vaishnava style of Hindu worship which involves Chaturarchana, an elaborate offering of four items symbolizing four distinct categories of devotees. This includes Gandham, flowers, Akshatam (kumkuma) and Pushpa (sandalwood paste). In addition to this, the temple also observes abhishekams with different herbal pastes such as Chandanam, Thugabhadra (jaggery, turmeric, and saffron), Chandanalepam, Dhara (milk, ghee, honey, and sugar water). Other regular offerings to the Lord include Thalipuni (making garland of flowers and fruits) and Mahaprasadam, a food offering of several vegetarian items, usually prepared in the temple itself.
