The temple worships Lord Sri Uma Sankareswara Swamy in the form of Pranava Svayamavara, which is a very ancient form of Shiva worship. The devotees do Litany and perform several rituals during the Puja. The prayers are done in the form of salutations to the Lord and supplications are made with Sankalpa for fulfillment of wishes. The puja begins withperforming Deeparadhana to the Lord and offering flowers, leaves and fruits. After the puja is complete, the devotees perform the Archana to Sri Ganesha, Lord Subramanya, Sri Uma Sankareswara Swamy and Goddess Mahalakshmi. This puja is followed by chanting the Bhagavath Gita, and other devotional couplets and hymns. Upon completion, the devotees offer food to the Lord, amidst the offering of Mangal Arathi.
