The mosque contains three large pillars which signify the three main schools of Islam (Hanafi, Maliki, and Shafi). The central nave of the mosque is surrounded by four semicircular arches and has four corner rooms, which serve as prayer chambers for different denominations of Islam. The roof of the mosque is covered in terracotta tiles and there is a minaret at the northeast corner. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
