Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral is an historic church in Kiev, Ukraine, belonging to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. It is the main cathedral of the Kiev Metropolia, or the Kiev Archeparchy, and the most important religious, cultural, educational and architecture center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It also houses the Kiev Center of the Spiritual Culture, and congregation of saints, which is responsible for widespread evangelism and spiritual growth. The Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral was built in the 10th century, and was where the first official Church was established in the city of Kiev. The original wooden structure was damaged by fire several times and was eventually rebuilt in the 19th century in the subsequent Neoclassical style.
