Kisha e Shen Nikolles is a 500-year-old church located in the Albanian town of Tirana. The church is named after Saint Nikolla, a fourteenth-century Albanian saint. It is one of the few churches in Albania that has remained almost completely untouched by time and is still in use today. It is one of the best churches in Albania which you must visit.

History:

The exact origins of Kisha e Shen Nikolles are unknown, but it is believed to have been built in the fifteenth or sixteenth century. It was completely renovated in the late seventeenth century due to an earthquake that caused significant damage. In 1734, Prince Alexander the Third of Durrës held an extravagant celebration in the church to celebrate his ascension to the throne. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Albania.
