The inaugural flight from New York to New Zealand didn’t go well as passengers complained about their missing luggage. After 17 hours of flight from New York to Auckland on Monday, it was devastating to discover that the luggage of many passengers is yet to arrive at the airport.
The two-hour flight delay was not enough to put passengers in discomfort, later economy class passengers came to know about their luggage being left in New York and they have to wait at the airport to get their belongings. There are many places to visit in New Zealand in the fall and winter.
One passenger reported that only Koru members and business class passengers’ luggage arrived at the airport while other passengers were waiting for their belongings to reach. Barton said that because she and her husband had previously checked in online, they anticipated no difficulty in doing so at the airport. Even though they were around seventh in line, they had to wait for an hour and a half while employees tried to process the passengers and their baggage.
Barton asserted that she thought the check-in delays would have contributed to the flight’s delayed departure. They were forced to wait on the tarmac for at least an hour after missing their takeoff window and moving to the rear of the runway line.
Barton and her husband went to collect their luggage after landing in Auckland, but the conveyor belt stopped after around 15 minutes.
