To descend the caves you have to follow 317 steps and the main cave consists of a massive structure with a big open chamber at the entrance. 2. Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS)

Located in Lagos State, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) is a ceremonial ground constructed in 1972. The entrance to this historical landmark in Nigeria has gigantic sculptures of four white horses and above the gate, there are seven red eagles, which signify Strength and Dignity respectively. 3. Walls of Benin City

Located in Benin City Edo State, the Walls of Benin were used as a defense of the defunct Kingdom of Benin, which is now Benin City, the capital of Edo state. This famous monument in Nigeria is considered the largest man-made structure lengthwise and hailed as the largest earthwork in the world. In 800, the construction was estimated to have started and continued into the mid-15th century. In the 13th century, it is considered one of the greatest achievements of a man considering that there was no use of machines.

5. Oduduwa Grove

Also known as Oduduwa World Temple, Oduduwa Grove is located in Ile-Ife, Osun State. The important monument in Nigeria is notable for being the point where Oduduwa, the legendary progenitor of the Yoruba race landed with a chain. He founded Ile Ife, which became his final resting place. At this location, a statue of Oduduwa with the chain and staff can be found. 7. The Ancient Nok Settlement

Located in Jaba Kaduna State, the Nok Culture appeared in northern Nigeria around 1000 BC and vanished under unknown circumstances around 500 AD.  Antiquities from the Ancient Nok Settlement are seen in galleries and museums all over the world. 11. The First Story Building in Nigeria

The very first layers of the building were built in 1842 and it takes three years to complete in 1845. Under the mission of the Church Missionary Society, the whole structure was created.
