Fiji has updated its Covid-19 policy and abrogated the compulsory Covid test policy for overseas travelers. One of the most popular tourist destinations Fiji receives thousands of visitors every year. There is a number of places to visit in Fiji, thus making it the most attractive island to spend some quality time with family and friends. Given the statistics, Fiji put out some strict Covid-19 policies to curb the spread of the flu.Â
Now that situation is again coming back to normal around the different parts of the world, Fiji has eased policies for tourists to boost tourism in the country. This policy has already come into effect from September 5 and now international travelers can visit Fiji freely.Â
Apart from this, travelers are not required to take a Covid test or submit a test certificate, test proof, or bookings to travel in the country. Plus, the Covid test pre-books digital portal is also going to get discontinued.Â
Having said that, travelers are expected to follow basic public etiquette to keep the area clean and avoid getting diseases. Furthermore, if a traveler gets flu or other such diseases, a Covid test becomes mandatory. Other Covid policies that remain the same are the purchase of travel insurance which is still mandatory. This only makes your travel to one of the best islands in Fiji easy.  Â
Brent Hill, CEO of Tourism Fiji, elaborated on this by saying that the government has been able to further relax public health regulations due to the high levels of community-wide vaccine protection in the nation, the rising uptake of booster doses, the expansion of vaccination coverage to children, and the decrease in caseload.
