Mastaba of Ti in Saqqara is an ancient Egyptian tomb located in the ancient city of Saqqara, located near Cairo, Egypt. It is believed to be an important landmark in the history of ancient Egypt and the oldest surviving royal tomb in Egypt. The tomb, located in the Fifth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, is thought to have been built around 2450 B.C. by Ti and his wife Khuishut. It is thought to be the mortuary and shrine of Ti, the vizier of king Djedkare Isesi, and his wife Khuishut, who is considered the mother of Pharaoh Menkauhor. The tomb features many inscriptions, paintings, and reliefs of Ti and his family members, as well as a number of other artifacts. The tomb is also called the “Tomb of Ti” and was an important place of pilgrimage in ancient Egypt. Today, the tomb is a popular tourist attraction and it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
