The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kichijoji Ward, is a ward (congregation) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kichijoji, Tokyo, Japan. The ward was organized on April 5, 1991, when the first missionary couple were sent out to re-establish the church in Japan. The Kichijoji Ward currently meets in the church of the Latter-day Saint Charities Center in Mitaka, Tokyo. The Kichijoji Ward's purpose is to build spiritual and social unity among members of the LDS Church who live in the Tokyo metropolitan area, by providing religious services, social activities, and a supportive community. Its members are mainly Japanese converts, but there are also American members and other foreigners present. The ward also holds English-language Sunday meetings for these foreign members.
