Khodynka Field in Moscow is a historical site located just west of the city center. It was once a popular amusement park and picnic spot during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The site is also known for its tragic events in 1896, when a stampede occurred here resulting in the deaths of over a thousand people. There is a memorial and monument dedicated to the victims of the stampede. The site is no longer used for recreational activities, but it is still a popular tourist attraction. It can be accessed for free by the All-Russian Exhibition Centre metro station.
