The church was born out of a vision of two men, Pastor William T. Johnson and Pastor Jonathan R. Horton, who wanted to create a church for their families and their community. In 2004, their shared vision led to renting out a movie theater to serve as their Sunday service location. Over the years, their congregation grew, and eventually, in 2009, they purchased the 21-acre property in which their current facility sits on today.
