Guanyin Ancient Temple is located in the Fujian Province of China. It is an ancient Taoist temple dedicated to the worship of Guanyin – the bodhisattva of mercy and compassion. Worship at the Guanyin Temple is both ritualistic and unique. Upon entering the temple, one must first pay respect to the giant statue of Guanyin located at the main hall. Here, worshippers make the traditional bowing and kowtow gestures while chanting or reciting mantras.
