The Great White Pagoda (known as Baita in Mandarin) is located in the city of Datong in Shanxi Province in China. It was built in the year 1038 during the Liao Dynasty and is located on the west side of the Northern Wei Dynasty Sculpture Museum on the northern side of Datong City. To reach the Great White Pagoda, start by flying into Beijing or Shanghai International Airport. From there, you can take a train or bus from either of the airports to Datong City. Once you arrive in Datong, you'll be able to reach the Great White Pagoda by either taxi or public transit. The best way to get there is by taking the local bus #6 from the city center and alighting at the Baita stop.
