The UPCI has presence in over 190 nations, with a total official membership of over 8 million. The Zambian chapter of the UPCI was officially founded in 1982, with the first church established in Lusaka. Since then, the UPCI has grown to include several churches and congregations spread throughout the country. The UPCI in Zambia is strongly rooted in its Pentecostal beliefs and practices, centered on the renewal of faith and experience of the original Pentecost. The organization’s primary mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with Zambia.
