The Council Of Churches In Zambia (CCZ) is an Evangelical grouping of churches and Christian organizations that works to advance the Christian church in Zambia. It was founded in 1969 by three churches, the African Evangelical Church, the United Church of Zambia, and the United Church of Southern Africa. It now includes over 50 churches and organizations throughout the country. The CCZ is active in missions, theological education, health, and social action. It also serves as an advocate for all churches in Zambia. The CCZ has a 12-member board representing all of the denominations and is chaired by a president. CCZ activities are funded by membership dues, contributions, and grants.
