Church of the Good Shepherd - The Continuing Anglican Church in Zambia is a branch of the Anglican Communion, operating primarily in the country of Zambia. It is an extension of the worldwide Anglican Communion, founded by C.W.P. Denham and C.E Orchard in 1947. With its roots in the Church of England, it continues to be within the “one holy catholic and apostolic Church” which is the body of Christ (an Anglican definition of the Church). The church’s doctrine is principally based upon the authority of Holy Scriptures, taking the form of the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral and the 39 Articles of Religion from the Church of England. The mission of Church of the Good Shepherd is to continue the tradition of the Church of England in Zambia, to provide teachings and spiritual practices in order to further develop the Christian faith of its parishioners and to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of its parishioners.
