The worship method of the Ma Tripursundari Temple in Birbhum in West Bengal is a method based on Tantric practices. The temple is dedicated to Tripura Sundari, one of the goddesses of the Shaiva cult, who is worshipped as Mother Tripura. In order to pray to her, the devotee needs to form a 'Tantric Triangle' in front of her image where he/she will pour clarified butter in five directions and offer flowers, fruits and sweets. Thereafter, eleven mantras are chanted to propitiate the goddess. After these mantras are done, the devotee kneels on the ground, offers prayers and performs a special puja. When the puja is complete, the devotee is asked to bow down and sing devotional songs and hymns in praise of Devi Tripura. The service ends with offering of prasad.
