Xuan Binh Church In Vietnam is a Roman Catholic church in Hanoi. It is one of the oldest churches in Vietnam, having been built originally in 1917. The church is noted for its large bell tower and its Redemptorist Parish, which serves the many Catholics in the area. The original structure of Xuan Binh Church was erected in 1917 by the Redemptorists Order, who were sent from France to Hanoi at the request of Archbishop Charles Mary. The mission was to build a church and educational center for Hanoi’s Catholic community. The new church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and was the first and only Catholic church in Hanoi until the 1950s. In 1963, the original structure was demolished and replaced by a larger and more modernized church. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Vietnam.
