St. Nicholas Cathedral In Vietnam is the Roman Catholic cathedral located in the centre of the city of Hue in central Vietnam. The cathedral, originally built in the early 19th century, was destroyed during the Tet Offensive in 1968 and later reconstructed in the late 1960s. It stands on the site of an earlier wooden church constructed in 1740 through the efforts of Bishop Ignace Lefebvre de Boulogne. The cathedral has served a diverse parish, including French and American soldiers stationed in the area and the local Vietnamese population.

The first wooden church on the site of St. Nicholas Cathedral In Vietnam was constructed in 1740 and dedicated in 1787 by the Apostolic Vicar of Indo-China, Bishop Ignace Lefebvre de Boulogne. This church was destroyed by an 1808 earthquake and replaced by a stone church in 1821. The church was again destroyed during the 1948 Red Terror and replaced in the 1950s with the current brick building. The building was heavily damaged during the Battle of Hue in 1968 and was later repaired with funding from the US Navy. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Vietnam.
