Worship of Gangolihat Temple is done mainly according to Shaiva Agamas. All the priests at the temple, belong to the Giri sect of worshippers of Lord Shiva. Main rituals practiced are pooja, chanting of hymns and mantras apart from special offerings, frequent ritual and Arati. The ritual of Abhisheka is also done to please the presiding deity. Daily rituals include Shodasha Upachara Puja, Nakula Puja and Tirtha Parikrama and daily Aarti with Puja. An Abhishek or special Puja ceremony is offered to Lord Purnagiri Mata, the main deity of the temple, on every Tuesday, Sunday and on special auspocious occasions.
