The Temple of San Marcos is a church located in the center of Madrid, Spain. It was built in the 16th century and is one of the most important churches in the city. The exterior of the church is decorated with Baroque elements. It is one of the best churches in Mexico which you must visit.

History:

The church was built in 1519 by Catholic Kings, Isabella and Ferdinand, who wished to honor the patron saint of Spain, San Marcos. The exact design of the building was overseen by Diego de Siloe. From its inception, the church was dedicated to the worship of San Marcos. In 1993, it was declared a Historic Monument of Madrid. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Mexico.
