Sankt Petri Church is a large 17th-century Baroque-style Lutheran church in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is one of the oldest parish churches in the city, dating back to 1639. The current building was constructed between 1696 and 1722 on the ruins of the original medieval church that burned down in 1660. The church is renowned for its high-quality Baroque decorations, which make it one of the most beautiful churches in Copenhagen. The earliest records of a church at the site of the Sankt Petri Church date back to the 12th century.
