is located within the sturdy city walls of Edirne. Built by Sultan Murad II, the mosque was constructed between 1435 and 1440 in Ottoman Baroque style. It is the fourth largest mosque complex in the city and its main dome is slightly lower than the five domes of Selimiye Mosque. Its 23 small and large domes covered with turquoise glazed tiles makes it very attractive. The central dome is 23.5 meters in diameter and the minarets are adorned with black and white stripes. The interior walls of the mosque are covered with beautiful calligraphic inscriptions. The interior decoration features colourful Iznik tiles from the 15th century and exquisite marble mihrab and minbar. It is one of the most famous mosque in Turkey which you must visit.

The Muradiye Mosque, also known as the Muradiye Complex, is a 16th-century Ottoman mosque located in Edirne, Turkey. The mosque was commissioned by Sultan Murad III in 1588 and was designed by the well-known Ottoman architect Sinan, who is most notably known for his architectural genius in constructing the widely-known and breathtaking Suleymaniye Mosque in Istanbul. The construction and design of the Muradiye Mosque follow that of the Suleymaniye Mosque, including a monumental dome flanked by two half-domes and a two-story portico on both sides. However, unlike the latter, Muradiye Mosque has smaller annexes and is decorated with frescoes and painted faience from the 19th and 20th centuries. The mosque is also flanked by the Tomb of Murad III, the Madrasa of Murad III, and the Uç Şerefeli (Sky-Lit) Medreses.
