Overview:

Huaca Juliana is the Huaca of the Plazuela San Isidro in Lima city, Peru. It is a pre-Columbian archaeological site located in the northwestern corner of the plazuela. Huaca Juliana is a rectangular mud pyramid which is thought to have been built by the Ychsma people between 1250 and 1450. The pyramid has several levels and was constructed in a series of rectangular platforms constructed from adobe bricks. Archaeologists have found artifacts dating to the Late Intermediate Period (1000-1450), which suggest that the huaca was used for religious practices and ceremonies. The artifacts found at the site suggest that the main focus of the huaca was ancestor worship and the worship of animal spirits. It is one of the most beautiful monuments in Peru
