History:

The Dubai Creek Park is located on the northern shore of Dubai Creek, the estuarine inlet off of the Persian Gulf. It was first established inside the Deira area in the early 1970s. It opened its gates to the public in 1975. The Creek Park was built by the Government of Dubai as an attempt to attract locals and tourists to an area that was previously sparsely populated.
