Église Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire was built around the 1820s and was initially commissioned by the Bey of Tunis at the time. The foundation stone was laid in 1827, and the building was finished around 1836. During the French occupation of Tunisia, it was regarded as the official church of France and its colonial citizens, and it is still used for religious services today. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Tunisia.
