Wat Thapho (or Wat Thaphrabat) is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The temple has an extensive array of statues and sculptures that date back to the late 17th century, and has ongoing renovations and updates. The traditional worship method at Wat Thapho includes chanting of religious verses, mediation, listening to the monks’ sermons, and circumambulating the temple building three times while carrying flowers and incense. Monks, nuns, and lay people are all welcome to the temple, and visitors can offer donations of food and other items for the monks. Wat Thapho is located in the east of Tha Pho sub-district in Songkhla Province in Thailand. The nearest airport is Hat Yai International Airport, about 18 kilometers away. You can reach Wat Thapho by taking a taxi or local bus from the airport. Buses run regularly from Hat Yai to Tha Pho sub-district in Songkhla province and take about 45 minutes to reach Wat Thapho.
