The worship at Soundararaja Perumal Temple is performed in accordance with the Agama Shastras (Hindu scriptures). The temple rituals are performed four times a day; Usha Kaal (dawn) Pooja at around 7 a.m., Kalasanthi Pooja at around 8 a.m., Uchikala Pooja at around 12 p.m. and Sayaratchai Pooja at around 7 p.m. The temple priests perform the pooja (rituals) during festivals and on a daily basis.
