Initially, they served the Indigenous Brubri Community in Suriname, providing spiritual guidance, education and social outreach, to help them become self-sustaining. In the past 40 years, the ministry has expanded its reach to serve over 10,000 indigenous and Afro-Surinamese people in 11 tribal locations. It is one of the few ministries in the country acknowledged by the government of Suriname.
