Offerings to the deity are placed on the temple’s altar while worshippers chant "Gauva Kannadi, Aaruli, Jeevi, Thuvali", a prayer to the Goddess Amman and her consorts, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Bells are also rung to invoke the deities. After praying and offering pongal (a type of sweet cake), devotees pour libations of coconut milk to the Goddess Amman to invoke her blessings.
