Worship Method:

The worship method in the Sri Vallipura Alwar Temple is based on the traditional methods of Saiva Siddhanta. Visitors to the temple should note that they are not permitted to carry any type of food beyond the Vasantha Mandapam (spring pavilion). Worshipers typically begin their visit by offering flowers at the periphery of Nataraja's shrine at the east side of the temple. After offering their prayers, devotees move in a clockwise direction around the outer wall of the temple, making offerings of flower petals and incense to each of the deities along the way. Once around the temple, devotees should enter the inner sanctum to offer prayers to Lord Nataraja and circumambulate around the inner shrine before making their next round of offerings around the outer side of the temple. At the end of their visit, worshippers should offer their gratitude to all the deities and take the blessings of Lord Nataraja with them. This most visited temple in SriLanka
