Worship Method:
The worship method at the Kethara Gowreeswarar Temple is based on ancient Hindu traditions. Devotees first perform Puja (ritualistical veneration) to Lord Shiva which is referred as Gowreeswarar and his divine consort Goddess Parvati, known as Kethara. Following puja, devotees offer Prasadam (food as offering). Devotees also light oil lamps and camphor for the blessing. Then Abisheham (bathing the deities with holy water) is performed followed by traditional poojas. Finally they perform offering of flowers to seek divine blessings.
