During these ceremonies, mantras are chanted and ritual dances (Kiri Pavai) are undertaken by devotees. The people of Inuvil also observe various Hindu festivals with great piety. During Pooja season, a large statue of the Lord is brought out to the town centre and immersed in the sea as part of a grand ritual. During the annual festival of Thirukkandam, grand processions with the deity atop a decorative chariot are held in the streets of Inuvil.
