In Sri Pulijadi Sithivenajakar Temple, worshipping is done in the traditional Sri Lankan style. The worshipers recite the words of the prayers with faith in the spirit and form of Lordikutty Puliyadi. Each day, devotees offer milk, rice, special oils, coconut, betel leaves, and ark (kellu) to the deity. Poojas are on Mondays and Fridays when devotees bear flowers and recite mantras from the 108 sacred temples of Sri Lanka. Darshan is performed after the poojas. On the 11th day of every Tamil month, a special homam is performed for the deity in which devotees offer food, fruits and other edibles. The ritual of offering flames (karthikai) and arathi are also performed to the deity. The lighting of the lamp (Deeparadhanai) is conducted every day as part of the worship ritual.
