Worship Method:

Munneswaram temple has its own unique form of worship. The temple worship involves a number of rituals that have to be performed in the prescribed order. The worship begins with the preparation of offering, followed by the offering of poojas to the five gods worshipped in the temple. Then an elaborate pooja is performed to the presiding deity, Lord Shiva. Following this, a procession carrying Lord Shiva is taken around the temple complex, accompanied by singing, clapping of hands, and other forms of worship. Finally, the worshipers end their pooja with the drowning of milk and flowers in the temple tank. This is followed by the distribution of prasad and blessings to the devotees.
