Worship Method:

The worship method of the Gnanavairavar Temple of Sirupiddy, Kopay, Sri Lanka is based on traditional Hindu methods. This includes chanting mantras, offering prayers and performing puja (rituals). The main deity is the god Gnanavairavar. Offerings may include flowers, fruits, incense, coconut, rice, ghee, dhoopam, milk, sesame, and sugar. The devotees also make offerings of money in order to seek blessings from the deity. The priest at the temple will usually recite a special prayer dedicated to Gnanavairavar, and then sprinkle a holy water over the devotees. Leave this road at the exit for Kalpitiya, and continue on the A3 for 25 km. Turn left onto Kandy Road, and drive for 8 km before turning left onto Paddy Road.
