The Wooden Articular Church of Leštiny In Slovakia is a historical and architectural monument located in the village of Leštiny. It is a Protestant wooden church listed as a national cultural heritage. Built between 1578 and 1627, this type of wooden articular structure, typical of the region, has recently been restored and is visited by many tourists. The church is a "dual" design, having a gable roof and two symmetrically placed side rooms - two of only four škola churches that remain in Slovakia today. Inside the church, the walls are covered with intricate carvings and paintings depicting biblical scenes. The altar is decorated with painted and gilded medallions representing the Apostles and other Christian figures. The church is open to visitors, who are able to observe its well-preserved interiors and works of art. It may also be used for marriages and other Christian ceremonies.
