The church was founded by Pastor Hopeson John Granville, originally named Gbalahun Revival Church, which grew and changed its name to Holy Ghost Bible Church In Sierra-Leone in the 1990s. Pastor Hopeson has a passion for training and educating pastors and church leaders in Sierra Leone. He also has planted numerous churches throughout the country. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Sierra-Leone.
