History:
Wellington Church of Scotland in Glasgow, Scotland was established in 1869 in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. The building was constructed by the then Church of Scotland in 1864 and opened in 1865. It was built in the traditional style of a Presbyterian kirk, and was the first Church in Scotland to be created within the Gorbals area. Since its formation, Wellington Church of Scotland has maintained a distinctive sense of community and has provided spiritual, social and practical support to the people of the area.
