Glenelg Church is a 6th century pop-up church situated near a small village in Scotland. The church was founded by St.Ninian in the 5th century and is believed to be the oldest surviving church north of Edinburgh. It still stands today in its original form and is a popular destination for tourists visiting the region. The church is known for its collection of 8th century Pictish stones which are situated around the perimeter. Glenelg Church also houses various statues which date as far back as the 12th century, as well as an arched entrance stone which dates to the 13th century. The church offers services annually, including Easter and Christmas, with additional services taking place during Covenanter celebrations in the local area.
