The Coptic Orthodox Church of Scotland In Scotland is part of the Coptic Orthodox Church and follows the same beliefs, traditions, and teachings of the Coptic Church. It was established in Scotland in 1999 with the purpose of providing prayer, spiritual guidance, Christian education, and sacraments for Coptic Orthodox Christians in Scotland. The Church has three parishes in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. It is a member of the Local Council of Churches of Scotland and the World Council of Churches. The Church provides services such as church services, baptism, confession, marriage, funerals, sacraments and pastoral care. In addition, it runs a Sunday school which is focused on providing christian education to the youth. The Church follows the teachings and traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church, with the Holy Synod of Pope Shenouda III at its head.
